Biography:

Ron lives in Eugene and is a retired science teacher. He and his wife Lynne raise Alpacas
on their small ranch. They have a 3-year-old grandson who is an absolute joy. Ron’s other
interests include birdwatching, fishing, bicycling and observing nature.

Ron Veneski was born in Pennsylvania. After high school he joined the Navy and served on
aircraft carriers as an electrician’s mate. He was fortunate to visit France, Spain, Greece
and Italy during his tour of duty. After the Navy, Ron earned a BA in Biology from San Jose
State University. Upon graduating, he spent several years working for the California State
Health Department. Deciding to become a teacher, Ron got his Master’s Degree in Biology
and a teaching certificate from California State University-Sacramento. He taught high
school science in California for 10 years. Then, in 1980, he, his wife and son moved to
Oregon where he taught high school science at McKenzie High School (Blue River) for 20
years. Ron and his wife have raised Alpacas for 19 years on their alpaca ranch in Eugene.
Their son, daughter-in-law, and grandson live in Portland.

Ron lives in Beaverton, OR and is a retired science teacher. He and his wife, Lynne, raised
Alpacas on their small ranch in Eugene until they moved to Beaverton in June of 2016. They
still raise Alpacas, but currently board them at an Alpaca ranch in Sherwood, OR. They
have a 6 1/2 year-old grandson who is an absolute joy. Ron’s other interests include bird
watching, fishing, bicycling and observing nature. (
